N-Scan in Consortia?

Here in Kalamazoo, we are wondering how other consortia or groups with many venues handle N-Scan. Are the devices configured to a specific facility or organization, or can they be shared easily?  Some of the venues aren't suitable for N-Scan access control or don't have wifi - are there others without wifi who are using N-Scan?

Thanks in advance for any information!

  • Well the group decided to table the N-Scan discussion for now because we’re still grappling with the staged go-live, but I’ll be sure to let them know that it’s basically system table setup that controls how you share them – they’ll love that!

I’m not sure yet when we arrive for the holiday – can I get back to you? It looks like you’re busy that week with A Christmas Carol, too, so please let me know if there’s one day that’s better than others for a guest who invited herself J

    Thanks again!

Yep. That being said, you have to do the set up in the Nscan system tables to do so.

Absolutely, I would be happy to give you a tour while you are in town.  What day were you thinking?

Thanks, Shana! I really appreciate the response - can you tell me whether different organizations are able to share the scanners, or will that not work?

  • Christmas Carol...that feisty minx.... It's fine, really. It's our 26th anniversary production, and having done it for so many years on end, we don't really get stressed out about it during preview/opening week. :-)

We have evening performances during the beginning of Thanksgiving week, so we could totally do something during the day.  Just FYI, we also share our campus with the High Museum of Art if you want to make a whole day of it.
