Problems with the print sequence

Hi!

When printing a large group of tickets, we have an issue with the print sequence. We would like the tickets to be printed row by row, but it seems like the print sequence follows the contigurity. The problem is, that we have rows that have different price zones and therefore also a contiguity that follows these zones. So if we print a row of tickets, all the tickets in price zone A is printed first and then all in Price Zone B.
Is it possible to change the print sequence? I know that in TR_section you can set the print sequence by section, but that will not solve our problem in this case because the issue is down to the row/seat print sequence.

Kind regards Louise

  • Hello:
The contiguity is generally set across the sections and not the zones.  If you've set your contiguity against the zones, you'll want to re-set it against the sections, probably run the facility update utility, then test-print some tickets.

You might want to try this in a test environment, perhaps limiting the contiguity changes in one or two rows, before checking the ticket printing results.

At one point, I re-set the contiguity in our theater and it turned out to be a huge help.  My one suggestion is to map it out, row by row before taking a single step. "You pay for in the end what you don't do in the beginning" ...an old circus saying.

Once it is set how you need it, you may never have to touch it again.

    All the best,

    Mark

  • Hi Mark

That sounds like a great solution! Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try that out.
