Gift Certificates Sending to Gift Receiver

Hi All,

We're looking for best practices with regards to sending Gift Certificates to the Gift Receiver instead of the Purchaser. We sell Gift Certificates as payment methods and our criteria is:

• The Transaction must sit on the Purchaser' record
• We do not want to add the Receivers' address as an alternative address on the purchaser' record

Has anyone been able to find a way to do this? The only way we could find to do this is to have the owner as the purchaser and the initiator as the receiver, but the terminology makes this seem a little blurry!

We've tried creating a dummy sub line item to use the recipient area, but the recipient details do not come up in the alternative address functionality.
