Hello everyone,
My organization started using Tessitura back in May and we still have a lot to learn. We occasionally do offers for shows where if they buy a ticket to one event we'll discount a ticket to a different event. We've been looking into how to best do this and think that the best way is to set up a flex package that requires the purchase of both shows. The first show would have the full price ticket and the second would be at the discounted price. This will work but I was wondering if anyone knew of a simpler way to set this up. For example is there a way for the discount to be applied if both shows are added to the basket?
Thank you for any ideas!
Hey Jordan,
Are you guys on v12.5? The new Pricing Rules functionality should be able to help you out here so it will check the contents of the cart and re-price the applicable second show so the discount is applied.
Tim
We don't go into 12.5 until January.
Hi Jordan,
We are not on 12.5 either, I am not sure if that would do the trick but from what I've heard it might.
I noticed you are on TNEW, so are we. This sounds like a precart customization. In precart you can set it up so that if a patron selects one of the shows, you can throw a custom page that offers them the second show. If they accept you can update both price types to be the discount. f they decline, they retain their original full value price type. We do this all the time.
Might be worth opening a TASK ticket with TNEW. Hope this helps.
Thanks, Steven. I'll look into it.
