We are looking at scanning special areas next season (members lounge) and wanted to know if we need dedicated scanners for these areas or if we can use the same scanners for entry to theatre, at the intermission to grant entry to the lounge.
In our LTR_NSCAN_PROFILES, I would have an entry that has the facility number of the facility where the performance is held and also have an access area defined for that very same scanner.
Is this possible?

To answer your question in another way... :-) You don't NEED separate scanners, but it just helps save time for your staff that is scanning. They have to change the mode between ticketed events and special access areas and that could slow them down. Your setup that you describe is definitely possible. It is exactly what we are doing, too.
