Are there any plans to release TRBO for iOS for use on iPads? I did some searching, but didn't find anything about this specifically.
The Smithsonian has only approved Apple iPads for mobile payment on our network, and since our network is fairly large (consisting of more than 7,000 users across a number of countries), getting a new device approved takes an incredibly long time (and money) due to the extensive technology, security, and PCI compliancy reviews required for this.

We too would be really keen to see a TRBO release for iOS and Apple/i products. From the conference this year and conversations I had with the network staff about this specifically, it seems unlikely there will ever be a release on anything but Android unfortunately.
If anyone has any information contrary to this though, please do let us know.

We, too, would like an iOS release of TRBO and any similar future product.
Based on past talk about such things I have also had the impression that the network feels very anti-iOS, though I suspect that those feelings have a dogmatic rather than technical basis, i.e. "iOS is too closed", or something like that.
