In one of our Ticket Order History screens we have an Event Description of "Transferred". Can someone please tell me what transferred means? I can't seem to find any documentation which gives the meaning of descriptions in event history.
This particular order is a problems because it was changed after the event was pasted. We are trying to determine what happened in this order and found this unusual description of "transferred."
Thanks in advance for you help.
It appears when an order is made for one constituent and subsequently the constituent ID is changed (a prompt pops up and asks if you want to change constituent for thie current order).
In essence, it means instead of returning the order to the old constituent and entering a new order for another constituent, one simply 'transfers' the line items to another person. For most purposes it is exactly the same as doing the long way, apart from the order number does not change.
Hope that helps.
I had a suspicion that was what happened but in this case it was done in a general public order there was no constituent pulled. How is a transfer done on a General Public order?
It seems we are having issues with this. I am the only person who has security to change constituents on an order so I am not sure how this is happening.
We spotted this issue last summer and raised a Ticket about it. Like you, we had looked at the security and couldn't understand how our Box Office staff could make these constituent changes.
Tess came back and gave us this explanation;
"This is from Appendix 1 of the Security Administration document, referring to‘Ticketing Change Const ID’ – “View Rights allows Const ID to be changed onpreviously saved orders”The important qualification here is ‘on previously saved orders’ . So if a User whodoes not have View rights to this security object is creating a new Order and hasselected a Constituent, seated the Order etc. then until the Order is saved (i.e. byclicking Done) they will still be able to go back to the Constituent Search andselect a different account (Although a warning screen does pop up asking if they are sure they want to change the Constituent ID for the Order). Once the Order is saved and re-loaded then the Security rights will prevent a Userfrom changing the account. If they try to go to the Constituent search screen theyare presented with a message saying they are ‘Not Authorized to change constituent ID’. "
So if you do have the same issue as us, your security settings won't be able to fix the problem!
