Hi everybody,
I want to give permissions to a particular user group to ticket into seats in a particular hold code, but not into seats not in a hold code / in best available. Anyone know how to do this in security? Without putting the whole house in a different hold?
thanks!
frannie
I've had the same question before, and came to the same conclusions. It still seems to me like a lot of overhead (MOS/Allocations) for what could conceivably be hold code or security object based functionality, but I'm sure a change to that effect would require more reworking of the back end than it's worth.
Though I wonder--is this perhaps something that could be accomplished with a service interceptor?
Hi Frannie,
This kind of setup is managed with allocation codes, not hold codes. You would create a mode of sale and allocation code just for this user group, then associate that MOS with the allocation code but not the unassigned allocation.
Here’s a link to the top level allocations topic: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v125/Content/Allocations/Allocation%20Code%20Overview.htm Once you follow that link, click the Open Topic In Full Help System link at the top of the page and you’ll be able to see the TOC and get to all the rest of the allocation help topics.
