One of our consortium members recently switched their front of house to Tessitura ticketing. They want to allow experienced front of house staff to be able to sell memberships but they would prefer newer and part-time staff put the membership payment on the constituent account and let someone else apply these funds to an actual membership later.
In trying to add the "On Account" payment method to the QuickSale layout, I discovered it isn't allowed -- even though I can use On Account on the order details tab?
I can't seem to find any documentation as to why I can't use it in QuickSale and if this changes in a future release (we are on 12.1.2).
Just curious if anyone knew. Thanks.
Hi Barbara! QuickSale will allow buttons for Cash, Check, Credit Cards, and Gift Certificates and you'll find the documentation here. But, you can always use the green "moneybag" icon just like in Order Details to get an On-Account payment method. You can switch between Order Details and QuickSale to complete the order.

Thanks Michael!
I assume we would have to SELL a gift certificate the same way (money bag icon in order details vs. QuickSale)?
Correct, the sale of a gift certificate is through the money bag icon, in the Payments screen.
