PAHT Template Size

Hi

We are considering changing our PAHT pdf to a smaller size rather than sending an A4 page for each ticket.

I'm wondering if anyone is using a PAHT template of a page size smaller than A4/letter (or even as small as BOCA ticket size) to send to patrons and if there are any issues patrons who print out using a smaller size page?

Cheers

  • Hi Justin, Did you ever go ahead with this? It's something we're considering due to the number of people displaying them on phones. Kind regards, Tom
  • Hi Tom,

No we kept the pdf size at A4, I don’t know if we ever discovered if we could do it at another size, I presume we could, but we just use the rest of the pdf for maps and information about the venue and event. Some people still print them out which would always be A4 anyway.  We changed to QR codes a couple of years ago which scan much better than the bar code we were using before that. We use a large QR at the top of the design which is working okay. Also, as you are probably aware, generally the brighter the phone screen and the better the wifi or internet the faster the scans.

If you do change to a different size please let me know how it goes.

    Cheers

  • Hey Justin, I remember hearing in conversation once that Royal Opera House in London were doing this. Not sure if it's true, so it might be worth asking them? BV
