Hi
Is there an existing report that will present each price layer and it's totals by price type?
I am trying to get other company staff enthused about the changes to pricing but it is difficult when I am unable to produce reports that can give them the data they require.
If customised reports are the only option, where would I start? I am not the report writer but I would need to supply the report writer with some info to get started.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can start with the Box Office Statement standard report. That breaks out the price layers. If you have a report writer, they can look at the underlying structure for that report as well!
The Performance Transaction Detail report also allows you to select what Price Categories you want to look at, so you can look at specific layers types (parameter is on the Next screen).

Thank you for the reply, but unfortunately I have already tried both of the reports that you suggested and they do not present the pricing layers.
I will keep persisting and hopefully our report writer will be able to assist.

The caveat to the Box Office Statement report is that it only reports on price categories 1-5, so if you have added additional categories it won't report on those. Here's a link to the report help if that is useful for clarification:

Performance Transaction Detail should also allow you to break down by price category that is attached to your price layer (but keep in mind if you have several price layers types that are various taxes they will all show under 'Taxes"). If you aren't seeing that, I'd suggest opening a help ticket up!
