We would like to start tracking incoming requests from other organizations for complimentary tickets (for auctions primarily) in Tessitura. I was wondering if/how others do this and if you have been able to use canned reports to track this.
I want our development staff to be able to see this information when they are sending asks for our Gala, so I'm not sure if ticketing is the best option... but not sure about that. We also sometimes give vouchers that are good for multiple seasons, which is also why I'm hesitating to move these to a dummy performance sort of setup.

When we receive a donation request from an organization, we build them an account or not, depending if they already have one. Then we go into their constituency and in the Attributes Tab we add the charity event date and a "yes" or "no" to the Season Eligible for Donation. By doing this, we are able to pull a list of organizations who were eligible and received donation for a particular season. We only mark the organization as a "yes" if we give them donations. I do have a question myself, that I am hoping you could assist with. Currently, our vouchers are only valid for 1 season, but we want to create a voucher that is valid for multiple seasons. How are you creating vouchers that are valid for multiple seasons? When we create a voucher, we have a campaign designation and GL Designation for the particular season, how do you get around this for multiple seasons vouchers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

We never ended up implementing tracking auction requests in Tessitura. But thanks for that info about using attributes to track them.
As for your question, I can't think of a way to track comps in that way, but one idea I just had would be to create a new gift certificate payment method and send gift certificates with an expiration date at the end of your 2nd season. You'll want to check local laws if arts orgs in your state are exempt from gift certificate expiration laws.
At SCT, we have implemented internally that all vouchers we sent for 19-20 and 20-21 seasons will be valid through May 2022, because we won't be having a 20-21 Season. As auction winners reach out to us we are letting them know about this expiration extension.
