According to the documentation it seems like I should be able to multi select cells and paste them as long as I maintain the same orientation and select the same number of cells.
When I select multiple cells, the copy function is greyed out. Although I can select whole rows or columns and copy.
Am I missing something?

You can copy a single cell, a whole row, or a whole column. I will clarify the documentation for v12.5. Sorry for any confusion.
