TNEW v5 Promo Code Reporting

Hey, y'all,

I have been using a tried and trusty report called "Performance By Appeal" to analyze what has sold through various online promo codes for years.  However, during our most recent show I realized that the report was not picking up all of the sales.  My crackpot theory is that the report does not pick up sales when the promo code is entered AFTER seats are selected (which patrons didn't used to be able to do).

So my question is, is there a report I can use that will pick up all of the sales for the various sources attached to an appeal when most of them are being made through TNEW v. 5?

  • I saw something similar during a pre-sale earlier this year.  Are you also running TNMP?

I know the promo codes were entered because the price types were not available otherwise (I checked).  I will look into the source selection feature; I don't think I knew about that.

    Lindsay-

This isn't possible as the promo is tied directly to the source codes on the entire order. What I would think is happening is another source is getting autofilled or someone enabled the source selection feature of TNEW 5+ (which I haven't used, but imagine it could be capable of overwriting promos).

Best way to find out would be to list the source codes on all the orders you mentioned and search them for abnormalities or unintended changes. Anything that isn't your default web source must be coming from another place ( [email] links with ?promo=, manual entry, TNEW source selection at checkout). If they are all just the default web source then you can be certain it's probably just the customer not putting the promo code in.
