Unable to Delete a Price Layer

I'm trying to delete a price layer from a performance. Whenever I try to delete it I get the following error message:

"controller_pricing_grid.deletelayer.18: A call to PricingController.DeleteLayer() failed."

I was wondering if anyone might now what the problem is.

Thank you.

    This error occurs when attempting to delete a price layer attached to a base price.  Presently, the error will always occur when attempting to delete the last price layer associated with a performance as the last layer has to be for the base price.  This limitation has been considered a defect which has been corrected in v12.5 and in that version you can delete the last price layer provided that no sales have been made in the performance.

    Hi,

    We have experienced the same thing in Season Manager. I’ve tried all parameters, including performances that have never seen an order, a single performance. The error occurs every time. I’d be interested to hear other workarounds, but I have had to remove all but one price type, then add the template as a second layer, minus the single pricetype in Layer 1.

    Hello Joe-
    It may be that you'll need to expire the price map, as opposed to deleting it. If there are orders with the price map attached, you may be prevented from deleting it.
    That's my two cents.

    Hope you are well,

    Mark

  • During Event set up(prior to MOS and onsale dates we had a change made to zone maps and so we need to remove pricing to change the Zone map to something else save it and then change it back so the new zone map would take effect.  Well we couldnt remove the final price in the pricelayer.

    My work around was, after unclicking the on sale box in the performance details general tab. then going out to the perfomance tab in production Elements and deleting the performance. then starting over.  Let me know if this helps anyone as it took a while to remember how is solved the issue the second time I encountered it and read on the forum that others where having the issue.
