Hello all, this is rather similar to another post I made a bit ago (find it here: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/forums/p/12712/39677.aspx#39677) but we had a staff member who managed to return a ticket this time to a performance that was in the past and off sale in all ways in which I could think (price type dates, MOS dates and performance itself off-sale) because it was part of a package order.
Is this a known Tessitura issue, an unknown Tessitura issue, or (as is not unlikely) is there something that I am doing wrong/forgetting to do? My understanding is that the "off sale" check-box in the performance is supposed to override everything else, and unchecking that will not allow you to do anything.
This was achieved by going into an existing package order, long after the package, performance, price types and MOSes were all off sale. We are in V11 though upgrading to V12 very soon.
All help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi John:We use both the on/off sale checkbox, along with the 'status' of off sale, to the left of the checkbox. This should make the performances truly inaccessible, even if you attempt to access the performance through an earlier order.
Best of luck,
Mark
Mark,
That is what we do as well. I went back and tried with another order and it would not let me return the tickets, so I really am baffled as to how this happened this time. That said, we did go back and test the selling of tickets in old subscription orders and it will let you pull, sell and print new package orders even if some of the performances are off sale in both ways that you indicate, so we will still have to keep our eyes out for that.
This return was probably just a random glitch, but I am still up for suggestions as to how this could have happened if anyone has any other ideas.
Thanks!
Hey John!
I think I've seen you post about this a couple times now, no? I haven't tested it in my system but it really does sound like unexpected behaviour. Have you opened a help ticket to see if support can give you an explanation or at least help you research what the heck happened?
That's what I would do anyway! :)
Good luck
You are not wrong. I suppose I was just hoping that it was something obvious that I was missing, but that does not seem to be the case. I do indeed plan on opening up a help ticket next to see what support has to say about it.
