My apologies for the cross posting. I'm curious about how other institutions handle replacement card requests on a constituent's record. Some of the situations I am thinking about are 1) when a change is made to the level or expiration date of the membership after the original acknowledgement letter has been printed (or before for that matter) , and a new set of cards are needed, or 2) a complimentary membership is created and you need membership cards (since none are triggered without a gift). Currently we accomplish this using a CSI and a custom report, but I'm sure there are other ways and I would love to hear about them.

Here at Cheltenham Festivals I created 2 attributes to carry out this task - we previously used CSI's but our box office team found it labour intensive to go back in and close all of the CSIs individually.
The 2 attributes are:
- Membership Card Requested (Date format)- Membership Card Sent (Date format)
Steps:
1. Someone requests a new membership card.2. The box office give that person an attribute of Membership Card Requested (and enter today's date).3. Each week someone pulls a list of anyone with the 'Membership Card Requested' Attribute.4. They run the Manage Attributes report against this list and add the 'Membership Card Sent' Attribute to these people (with a value of the date they are sending the cards).5. They then run the Manage Attributes report again, this time deleting the 'Membership Card Sent' attribute from people on that list (leaving these people with just the attribute saying the person was sent a card on xx/xx/xx).
