Hello all
We are new to Tessitura and we are looking for best practice for the setup of Guided tours. Will any of you share how you setup guided tours? We are looking for the best way to add hundreds of performances on three different stages and some of them in dfferent language. We are hoping you have the answer:-)
Thank you.
Kind regards Eva
Hi Eva,
I can send you some examples via email if you would like to see how we set them up as it is probably a bit complicated via the forum.
Caryl
Hi Carol, yes, thank you very much, that would be perfect:-) my email is ehan@kglteater.dk
Hi Eva
Sydney Opera House runs a substantial Guided Tours business through Tessitura., with multiple types of tours, in several languages, run frequently.
They set up one 'Performance' for each type of Tour for each day, with a zone for each possible timeslot, and they take holds on and off depending on which timeslots are actually bookable / possible on each day.
I'm not sure I'd wholeheartedly recommend their model, but I can try to get someone from there to contact you if you'd like to talk to them about it. (I don't think anyone from SOH Tours is following the forums closely, so I'll need to wake them up first)
Ken
Hi Ken
Brilliant I would very much like to get an input from you and the Sydney Opera:-) It seems that adding the performance and having zones for each time of the day is a common way of doing guided tours, but er are definetely interested if someone is doing it differentl. We could be a bit concerned with reporting on sales and how it works online. Also do you deal with different language or could you recomment how we deal with having both english and danish on different times of the day, would that be different performances then? I really appreciate your answer, and your best practice:-)
