N-Scan Email Messaging

Has anyone successfully set this up? How long does it usually take for the email to arrive? I've triple checked everything and it's set up properly, as far as I can tell.

  • Thanks for your help on this Jonathan! We are up and running now. Do you know if/where I can change the time interval for how often the procedure is run?

    David:

N-Scan automatically searches for email notifications and queues them up; however, in order for the email itself to send, the stored procedure LRP_NSCAN_SEND_EMAIL (or if you’re on 12.1 and N-Scan 6, NP_SEND_EMAIL) must be set up as a SQL Server scheduled job. If you are a RAMP licensee, please open a RAMP ticket to start this process.

Typically, the procedure is set to run every 5 minutes, and takes only a fraction of a second to execute. How long the message takes to arrive depends on the interval between the scan of the ticket and the next run of the procedure, and the delivery time after the message is sent (and how frequently your device checks for mail).
