buy 2 tickets at fullprice, then recieve a discount on further tickets and become a member

Hi all,

We have a festival coming up shortly and we're not quite sure how to allow this offer to be accessible on the web (it would be rather simple, but kind of lengthy manually in Tessitura).

Basically, if you buy for 2 events at full price, then any other events you buy for in the festival you can receive 10% off and you become a member for the duration of the festival. Our web team are looking at up-sell functionality (we're currently on V11 though) and I thought we could do a super package (for customer to buy 2 events at full price from one sub package, then how ever many more at the discounted rate from another sub package, however I don't think super packages allow flex packages as sub packages?)

Our other problem is how do we record those who but 2 more events as "members" without having to check everyday and manually and say, an attribute.

If anyone has done something similar or has any thoughts on this is, it would be greatly appreciated :)

  • Hi Courtney,

I have a flex package that is made up of four groups- three of those groups are in one venue, and the 4th is in another.  So *that* part shouldn’t be a problem.  The pricing setupwould be a bit fiddly to get right, though…  and for the ‘how to non-manually mark people’ issue.  If you’ve got access to someone who can write sql code,  they should, in theory, be able to write a procedure that looks for anybody that has the two performance codes in their ticket history and automatically adds a constituency to them.  And then you can always expire the constituency after the festival by using the Manage Constituency utility in the Data Management folder of Tess.

Has anything I said helped?  Confused you more? Feel free to give me a yell if you want.

    Cheers
    Kathleen
