Season Overview - Negative Available Seats

I am trying to figure out why my Season Overview does not match our settlement report.  What does a negative number mean for Available in the Tkt Count Column?

Thanks!

  • I've had that happen, I believe when there are seated or ticketed seats that were also blacked out. I only recall seeing it happen because the blackout was applied after the seat was ticketed, for example if we cancel a performance and blackout the entire house or something else like that and a handful of tickets for whatever reason are not yet moved out of the performance.

  • I looked in to the black out holds, but we were all square there...however, worked out the problem.  Hope this helps anyone else who has had this issue where the black out holds have not been the answer.  Maybe everyone knew this already!

Instead of creating a new price map for the day of show price (it went up 2.50), we used 3 price maps day of show.  The Base price, the FF and the bump in price.

The TOTAL SALES, Ticket Count column is double counting...basically saying 150 tickets have A & B price maps and 50 have A, B & C price maps.  The 150 includes the 50 that have A, B and C.  Thinking about this in Venn Diagram format might help.

This throws my sold ticket count off by the number of seats that have been sold day of show (the number it is double counting), this number is added to the comp amount to get a total tickets out .  The inflated sold number + comps is higher than my capacity, giving me negative seats.

Now, off to rest my brain.
