Re-Numbering Seats In Facility

Hi there,

We are considering re-numbering the seats in an existing facility, which is a part of our subscription package. Does anyone have experience doing this?

Since we currently use the facility for shows that are remaining in our current season, we are thinking we need to copy the facility and renumber the copied facility for the changes. This will make it so the changes don't take immediate effect, and mess up the remaining show being presented in this facility.

Any nuggets of wisdom out there from someone who has done this before? Did you have any issues with your subscription roll when renumbering an existing facility?

Thanks for any help!

  • I know this an old thread but we are looking at changing row and seat numbers for our flexible space to make it less confusing for patrons. We already have subscriptions partially seated for the season and don't really care if it changes prior seasons. Is it safe to go ahead and proceed with the changes?? On version 15.1.

  • Hi Madeline,

We recently updated some seat numbering and such mid season (we had a discrepancy between a handful of seat numbers in Tessitura vs the actually seat numbers in our opera house). For me it was worth it to make the changes and not wait, as it didn't affect tons of patrons. It's definitely "safe" to go ahead and make your updates, but I would advise that you consider how many ticketed patrons it will affect since it will affect your current season. If you have to reissue tickets to most of your patrons, you might want to hold off and plan on doing the renumbering before jumping into your next season.
