Hi there,
We are considering re-numbering the seats in an existing facility, which is a part of our subscription package. Does anyone have experience doing this?
Since we currently use the facility for shows that are remaining in our current season, we are thinking we need to copy the facility and renumber the copied facility for the changes. This will make it so the changes don't take immediate effect, and mess up the remaining show being presented in this facility.
Any nuggets of wisdom out there from someone who has done this before? Did you have any issues with your subscription roll when renumbering an existing facility?
Thanks for any help!
Kim
Hi Kim,
If you renumber the seats in your current facility and don’t run any update utilities, the changes will not be applied to any existing performances. So if you make the changes and then build your performances for the upcoming season, the new performances will have the new seat numbering but the current performances will still have the old seat numbering. You shouldn’t have any problems with the rollover, as the seat numbers are essentially just a label you apply to seats, not part of the back-end identity of the seats.

Kevin,
Thanks for the response! That's wonderful to hear - seems like I was over complicating it. Do you happen to know if an update to a facility such as changing seat numbers would require a new TNEW map?
Thanks!
