Hi all
We are just in the setup-proces before we go live very soon. We have an issue with our wheelchairs. We would like our customers to be able to purchase the wheel-seats online, and we were hoping to do this using an allocation. It seems to be more complex than we were hoping, since the wheelschair spaces can if not sold be switched with a normal seat (sometimes one wheelchair can even switch to two seats).
Have any of you solved this issue and can you help us with best practice on this?
Thank you.
Kind regards Eva
Hi Eva,
We don't use holds on our wheelchair spaces, but we do hold the adjacent seats for personal assistants should the booker need one (which they invariably do). We only allow a specific price type in the wheelchair seats and, overnight, a stored procedure runs to create CSIs for any orders that have been made which contain that price type. Our visitor services team will then get a CSI report so they know which wheelchair spaces have been booked so they can add personal assistant seats to the order.
