Good day all,
I am working on my subscription rollovers in V12, and have noticed that the initiator field is filling in with the initiator from last year's orders, which seems to not make sense to me.
Is this intended behavior, or have I missed something during the rollover process to keep that from happening?

We experienced the same thing, but we weren't using initiators last year, so I have no idea what logic is used to add them.
Does anyone know what's going on here?
The Initiator from the source order (previous season) will be used for the target order created in the rollover.

I do not understand why we would assume that the initiator for the new rollover order would be the same as the person who initiated last season's order. Also, I don't understand the logic of having an initiator for an order that has not yet been renewed.
Can you tell me what I'm missing?

For a subscription order using a household as the owner, the Initiator is typically the individual within the household serving as the primary contact for the order. The rollover assumes that the initiator is to be kept consistent from the previous season for this reason.
If this is not consistent with your expected practices, it would be pretty simple to run a script to clear out the initiator for these orders, or just handle this when processing renewals.
Adding “use initiator during rollover” as an option would be an enhancement request at this point.
