Good afternoon,
I've got an odd one here, at least for us.
One of our presenting partners is offering a run (two weekends, Thursday - Saturday) of Crazy for You in the new year and they would prefer that their tickets be valid for any of the six performances.
Has anyone else managed an event like this? Did you build just one performance or multiple performances? How did you handle the ticket design?
Your help and insight, as always, is greatly appreciated!Cheers!Short
Hey Short,
We haven't done an event like this. I would assume you would still need some sort of ticket cap though for your venue? So the customers would either need to give you some sort of head's up or risk being turned away at the door once you hit capacity.
If you have any wiggle room with the "valid for any performance" and can make it a "buy now, choose later" type deal you could always have them purchase into a dummy performance and then exchange them into the specific show when they know which one they want. This way would be nice if the capacity limit is a concern because it will be totally controlled.
If that's not an option I'm not totally sure of the best way to handle it. You may be on to something with the one performance setup. I would assume the ticket design would be totally custom for this situation and maybe just lists the possible dates (room permitting) or no dates at all.
This sure is an odd one! I'd be interested to hear what method you go with and how it works out for you.
Good luck!
