Subscription Package vs. On/Off Sale

We recently had a performance which was the 2nd one in a fixed-package, subscription series.  The first performance was already off sale and yet one of our staff members accidentally figured out a way to go into a preexisting subscription order, pull additional seats for the whole series and sell them additional package seats (mistaking that for a single ticket order).

I was under the impression that taking a performance off-sale prevents anyone from purchasing/returning/etc... tickets to that performance, in any order.  I tried it with a preexisting single ticket order and that was prevented, however I did confirm that preexisting package orders (as well as new orders that have been backdated) seem to skirt the issue, and they will let you sell them anyway; new package orders (present-dated) will not allow you to sell them.

Any ideas for preventing these past date package sales?  FYI, in case it is relevant, we are still running V11 (to be fixed soon), and I verified that the not only was the perf_status set to "Off-Sale" but also the "On Sale" box was indeed unchecked.

Thanks!

  • Thanks for the thought, but I tried that in a single ticket situation and it does not work.  The On-Sale/Off-Sale functionality is supposed to over-ride the MOS and Price-Type on sale dates.  I was hoping that there would be some way to enforce that within the package level as well, but currently it does not seem to work the same way.

Any other thoughts more than welcome!
