batch print - alphabetically

Is there a way to batch print but have the tickets spit out in alphabetical order?

This would really help us with our season ticket fulfillment next week, we have labels on envelopes and instead of trying to find the tickets in a big stack it would be supremely easier if they were alphabetized from the BOCA.

Parents
  • If you click on the customer name header (or any other column) in the batch ticket printing preview window before you hit print, it sorts, not just in the window but when printing as well.

  • Amanda is correct; however, you also have to click the "Seq" button if you want the header and the tickets to print out in the correct order (i.e., the header prints *before* the tickets).  To do both, you would do the following:

Click the "Name" header so that it turns green
Click and hold down the "Ctrl" button
Click the "Seq" header so that it turns green

Once you do that, you're good to go!

  • AWESOME!!!  Thank you Christy and Amanda, this worked like a charm.

Now the next question is, I know that it can cut tickets individually or keep whole orders connected in one long string - but can it keep the whole batch printing connected so that we can manually separate orders (thus keeping everything alphabetically connected instead of the randomness that happens when the big strings of tickets print out).

That's what we do. We batch print each sleeve of a thousand tickets as an unbroken, alphabetical string, then manually separate. If you don't check the "only cut tickets between orders" button, it should work. Or at least, it does for us.

  • Katie, you must have something special set up because leaving cut between unchecked results in cutting every ticket.

  • Never mind, I am stupid.

Should give shout out to Jennifer Aprea, Box Office Manager at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas - she pointed out that my BOCA was set to mini (spitter mode) not micro (snake mode).

It's all good in the hood now.
