We want to increase attendance to our receptions on opening nights.
Marketing has decided to offer through the web sales, a reception at $x and if you purchase you get theater performance of same day, half price via internet sales with promo code.
Can this be done with the software? and simple?

It *can* be done but whether I would say 'simply' or not is another question and probably depends on your DBA support and website capabilities.
Our website doesn't work with 'bundles' like this very well so if we were doing this, our DBA would have to hack together something that would offer you a link to buy a discounted ticket to the performance only after you have the ticket to the reception in your basket. Does that make sense?
We also use this 'hack' to sell restaurant meal deals via our website.
He's on leave at the moment but I could try and track down what he did if it sounds like it would be helpful.
