NSCAN CSIs

Hi all,

Will likely put this in Technical forum as well, but has anyone experienced issues with NSCAN CSIs staying open, despite the front of house staff pressing Mark Read?

When I manually execute LRP_NSCAN_CLOSE_ACTIVITY, the procedure that (I presume) is supposed to close these guys, it works. But yet, hundreds of open CSIs. Would love to hear if this has happened to anyone else.

  • We may have had this issue. I'm unclear as to whether or not the Mark Read was actually being pressed though. Last season was our first on NScan and my box office staff noticed many open CSIs. When I spoke to front of house they said they were marking them as read but I never had a chance to prove or disprove that claim. With our new season kicking off now I plan on getting to the bottom of the mystery if this is still happening.

    I'm curious to see what you find out though! If it's an actual problem then I'd love to give my FOH staff the benefit of the doubt. :)

    Thanks for chiming in. I ended up opening a TASK ticket and applying a fix. The CSIs we have since tested are closing about 75% of the time, which is significantly better than where we were at before. It still seems high to be only operator error, but I guess we will only know with more testing.

    I'll keep you posted if I find out anything else.
