Hello Tessiturians,
I'm hoping that one of you is doing what we're looking to and can help me out.
We are looking to offer "dinner and an opera" to our patrons. This has been offered in the past but I'd like to streamline it a bit more. The premise; there is a fixed ticket amount where x dollars would be the ticket and x dollars would be the meal voucher. We will be partnering with local restaurants where the patron can turn that voucher in and get their meal. We need to have that voucher go to a separate GL line than the ticket income GL and have a voucher print for the meal. Concurrently, we want to be able to offer this program on our website (we use TNEW). I know...crazy town. I've thought about this being a package, per se, and creating a GA house for the voucher. That seems to be one way to manage this but, honestly, I want this to be as easy as possible for setup, and also something we could offer for subscribers next renewal season. I've been throwing around in my noggin how to do this using price layers but sadly, my brain simply can't think that complex.....yet.
If any of you are going to conference, I'll be there and will have access to our Tessitura and would LOVE to talk through this in person. If not and you are a wiz at Tessitura Magic, by all means respond.

Hey Nicole,
Thanks for the response. I’d be intrigued to hear more about this. We’re on 12.0.3 so it would be a titch different but I am open to any help on this one.
Chris

Hi Christopher!
We have set up several ticket designs to have one stub act as a voucher so that we can do things like this. This way instead of printing a whole separate ticket for the voucher it automatically is part of the ticket design. We also use separate price maps (still on V11) with separate GLs to track the money properly. We also use separate Price Map Categories to track the purposes. I’ll see you at TLCC.

Hi,
We are on v12 and sell theatre and dinner packages. We are started this in v11 and had two prices maps to keep the GLs and money separate as Nicole mentioned. Now in v12 the ticket portion is in one price layer for the "package" price type and the dinner portion is on a different layer for the same "package" price type. The two add together for the dinner package. We do not use tickets because we have an on-site restaurant and share seating books via scheduled reports with the restaurant staff. I will be in Dallas as well if you have any other questions.
We are on version 12 and are interested in doing a package that would include tickets, gift certificate for dinner and a parking voucher for our hotel on campus. Would anyone be willing to share screen shots of how you set up your dinner and show packages?
