Sharing a dual BOCA printer

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone been sucessful in setting up Tessitura to print to the of 2nd path of a dual path BOCA?  The first ticket path is being used by Patron's Edge and our IT staff has not had any luck getting Tessitura to reconginize the printer and print to the 2nd output... Any suggestions?  Thanks.

    I am curious if you've been able to make any progress with this issue. We recently purchased a BOCA Lemur-2K, which allows us to print two different types of ticket stock via two different paths. However, I have not been able to get Tessitura to print to both paths.

    BOCA indicates that path commands must be sent with every print job so the job knows which path to print on and that this is setup through the ticketing software. But Mary Purvis with the Tessitura Support Network has indicated that this is not currently an option in Tessitura and might become available with version 10.

    I greatly appreciate any ensight you might be able to provide.

    Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you… I wanted to quickly confirm with our IT department before responding.

     

    We were able to successfully share a dual path BOCA between two ticketing systems (Tessitura and Patron’s Edge) at the same terminal using a USB to Parallel connection – we tried Ethernet printing but had no luck.  But unfortunately we had similar problems when attempting to print to both paths of a BOCA from one workstation.  We ended up having to connect a backup printer in order to accommodate the 2nd ticket stock (and the user had to remember to toggle between the two – it was a pain).  Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
