Exchanges and GL Monies

Good afternoon!

We have a Community Access Ticketing (CAT) program that is tracked by specific GL Accounts and we're hoping to provide upgrade services for patrons who wish to upgrade from the designated seats in PL3 but don't want the monies in the GL to be lost.

In short, we don't want the monies to move out of the CAT Income GL and we don't want the additional revenue from the upgrade to be in the CAT Income GL.  Additional revenue should be recorded in the Single Tickets Income GL.

Does anyone else have a similar program?

The only solution that comes to mind off the top of my head is to donate the seats and use special price types and maps to charge the difference in price by zone.  We do something similar to that with a few of our presenting partners, but it gets a bit cumbersome for the staff.  If anyone has ideas for a clean solution, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

What if you created an additional price map that had the ticket price portion in the price level 3 and layered it with the CAT price map which has the same dollar value in all price levels.
