Microsoft Surface

Hey Everyone,

I'm throwing around an idea to have a Microsoft Surface with me during our performances so I have instant access to Tessitura, emails, CSIs pre-show. Have any of you implemented the use of such a device (including using Tessitura on them)? If so, would you be willing to share pros/cons of your use?

  • Chris,

We have been doing this with one of our Theater Managers for a while now, and are starting to extend it to some of our Education folks who deal with student matinees and school groups front-of-house.

As we get on the next version of Tessitura, we’re also experimenting with running the new Quick Sale touch-screen features on the Surface Pro3 this way.

I’d be happy to discuss and share notes.

    Alan
