GL reporting by performance

Hi everyone - We have a performance that is using multiple GL's. Is there a canned report that will tell me how much money has gone into each GL? If there is not a report that can provide that specific of data, is there a report that comes to mind that can be manipulated in Excel?

Thanks!

  • Hi Steven,

I can't think of a canned report that does exactly what you are looking for, but I would recommend Transactions by Posting.  It's in the Finance folder and gets into the nitty gritty of when and where money moves around.

The report let's you filter by GL number but not by performance.  The report produces a lot of detail rows so it might be easier to work with if you save it to Excel and create a pivot table.  You can organize by GL number or GL description.  There is also a column called Bucket which, for tickets, is the name of the price map used.

Hopefully between the GL and the price map you can narrow things down to your performance.  Good luck!

  • Hi Jared – This worked out perfect! We very distinctly named the price map for this performance, which made it super easy to find and manipulate in Excel.

    Thanks so much!

  • Performance Transaction Detail in Ticketing Box Office reports will show performance revenue by GL Account for selected performances in various groupings.

  • Does anyone know of a report that will do this same thing only use Price Type description instead of price map for v12? We are finding now that the 'Bucket' Column only uses the layer name rather than breaking it down by price type which we need for different marketing offers where we need to pay this amount to a 3rd party seller.
