Editing price map end date

Any harm in changing the end date of a price back to be a month in the past? Say from July 1st to June 1st? I have tested this by accessing an order that was created on June 15 and exchanging into a performance that has had a price map end date changes to June 1st. I was able to complete the order and print the ticket successfully.

Has anyone run into issues when changing the price map end date to an earlier date after a sale has occurred?

Thanks!

  • Hi Steven,

I've done this lots of time. Sometimes just with one price type for one performance, and other times with many price types for multiple (daily) performances.

The only issue I've had is if you need to change an order at a later date, and that price type is no longer on sale. Then you just need to temporarily change the end date again, change your order and then change the date back again. Before I do it, I also always make sure that I look at any future orders that are using that price type (TStats works great for this), and amend the orders if necessary (for us, those order most likely wouldn't have been paid off yet, so we can just switch them to the new price type if necessary) before the end date is changed.

    Kind Regards,

    Alison

  • Hi Alison - Good to know. I am always wary of changing things that were used in a sale.

    Appreciate the feedback, thanks!
