Soft Bounces

Hello All,

So we all know we have to deal with those pesky hard bounces in a timely manner to avoid being blacklisted. But there are also those pesky soft bounces to contend with. I'm finding they provide a lot of information as to problems with domains especially those that have blocked us. I've researched the best practices for dealing with soft bounces and it seems it is just about the same as dealing with hard bounces - after 3 consecutive within a certain amount of time you should remove the person from your list (which for us means unchecking the marketing flag).I've also found that if you don't deal with the soft bounces that some domains will block you for that. Maintenance chores for email blasts are becoming more and more important!

How many of you keep track of soft bounces? What do you do with them in Tessitura? How many times and in what time frame do you let an address soft bounce before you remove them from your list? Are you synching the soft bounce through TMS and the lp_hardbounce and lp_update_email_promotion procedures? Do you download the soft bounce reports from TMS and evaluate the data? Do you find yourselves blocked ever?
