I'm from the Royal Danish Theatre in Denmark and we are about to implement Tessitura. We will be fully running with the system in April 2015.
We are in a process now where we are about to figure out how we would like to use the functionalities in Tessitura and maybe if we can replace some of the other systems that we are using in the moment.Right now we have a requisition system, where internal staff and those who take care of our VIP customers can request for tickets. One of our staff members in the VIP department will then book the tickets and send a message back.I can see that CSI could be very useful for us where you can make a note on a customer, and this way around make a request for a seat. But we would also like our VIP customers to be able to make their ownrequest online. Is that possible in any way or do any of you have any experience with ticket requests online or/and VIP customers?

There’s a table called T_SPECIAL_REQ that holds notes tied to lineitems in orders. Our web developer has set it up so that online special requests show up there. You can see a notification that there are special requests in an order:
There’s a button on the bottom of the order window called “Spec Req” that, when clicked, opens the Special Request window:
