Text Notifications not working

Hello!

Our development department is keen to begin really using the Monitor Attendance functions of N-Scan. We've found that setting up an email notification works just fine when we use their email address. However, when we try to set up the notification to go to a cell phone as a text it never makes it.

It's weird that emails work fine and texts don't. I've also made sure that the syntax for the cell phone address is correct and have tested simply sending a regular email to my cell phone as a test (which worked just fine).

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

We had some strange issues with the NScan alerts after the V11 upgrade.  I ended up trying a few different things and we got it to work.  I don't know if these will help but here are things we tried:

    1.  Launch the NScan email application (we have this installed on our Report server) and uncheck the box next to "Use SMTP Server Authentication" if it is checked.  We were seeing some authentication failure notices in our NScan log, so doing this stopped those errors.

    2. Check your T_Keyword Table in System Tables in Tessitura, and look for the NScan Email item.  Make sure that the "Category" for that item is set to "NScan."  In our system, that column was originally blank.

    3.  On the scanner itself, click the "Rebuild Database" option to refresh the information from the server

    4. Double check your phone number formats for the text messages - e.g. 9896315930@vtext.com for Verizon cell phones.

Hope these might help resolve your issue.  Once the alerts are working, it's a great system!
