I searched through the Forum in years passed...is a BOGO promo price still a custom coding situation? If it is, can someone give me the step by step of limiting the number of tickets purchased with a promo code? We are wanting to try a promo code of buy one get one free, but limit it to 2 tickets. Any help is appreciated!

You can use the Limit field when setting up an offer to limit the number of tickets sold with a promo. Check here for the documentation: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Content/Mode%20of%20Sale/Offers.htm
It works fine if your T_DEFAULTS settings are ready for it and if the tickets are seated. It doesn't work so well if you are selling unseated tickets.
