I am setting up a Dashboard for a client and there event is not showing up under Performance Name or Performance Code. Does anyone have any tips on how to troubleshoot this?

Which widget are you using? Most of the widgets are based off the T-Stats cubes. If you're looking at ticketing data in your widget, it's most likely coming from the Tickets cube in T-Stats. Does the performance in question show up in T-Stats? If not, this article and this article cover the most common reasons.
