The Most Attractive Seat Map Alive

Greetings -

I am hoping that the Tess community could point me to the organizations that have the most visually stunning (customized) choose-your-seat maps.

I'm particularly looking for seat maps that are:
~Visually stunning representation of the venue
~Connected with social media (can see where your friends are seated on the map)
   ~Highly customized information
   ~Very compatible with many devices

Thank you!
Tamiko

  • One of the most striking, blow-you-away SYOS maps I've ever seen is the Chicago Symphony's (Choose an event from here). I believe their entire site is a highly custom job by the Lynch2 firm responsible for Mail2. It's a few years old so it's built in Flash, meaning it's not compatible with iOS devices, and I have no idea about social media integration, but as far as SYOS maps go, it's pretty unforgettable.

  • Thanks for the reference – pretty nice.

Nick, thank you so much for including the firm that built it!

Thanks for the kind words about our website!

The SYOS functionality for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra website (as well as the calendar application and the cart) was built by a large team of collaborators. In addition to two web consulting firms, the CSO's own Director of Web Systems and Applications Sean Hopp and Tessitura's Cindy Emig worked closely with developers Ken Ballard and Jason Ward to get this off the ground.

If you'd like more information, please feel free to reach out to Sean Hopp (hopps@cso.org). He would be able to answer technical questions and potentially put you in touch with the appropriate vendors if you're interested in creating something for your own site.
