Hi
We are launching Print at Home Tickets. Right now on-line discounts are relegated to 'Hold at Box Office' so we can check ID's. This means on line discounted tickets will not be available in the Print at Home delivery method.
I was reading in the documentation, that a user defined element can be added to the ticket template: ' Check ID or coupon label if a certain price type is used.' I assume this is a 'flag ' picked up by the scanner--- Is this a fair assumption?
Can I put this same flag on the PAHT, through the ticket design & then in the PDF?
Has anyone ever done this? If not, how do other organizations offer on line discounted tickets available in the PAHT delivery method?
Any advice/suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks,
Carol
This is an interesting idea. We employ user defined elements to print visual flags on PAH tickets, but they are designed to be visual indicators to the person operating the scanner rather than something that triggers an action by the scanner device. I'm not certain if our method would work for you or not, but I'd be happy to discuss if you think it might work.

Hi Carol -
I don't think that the user defined element would show up for the scanners. What you'd probably have to do is have some sort of SQL utility run on a regular basis that created an NScan CSI in Tessitura that would trigger the note to check ID.
But I could be wrong about that, I haven't played too much with NScan and making it jump through hoops.
