HH vs Individual - On Account monies

Hello Tessiturians,

Here's the situation -

Individual purchases tickets and returns them.  Monies are credited to patrons' record On Account.

Individual record gets converted/added to a household record.

Individual wants to use monies On Account, but we can only apply transactions to the household account.

How do we use the individual's On Account monies for a household transaction?

We have been taking the individual record off of the household account, use the monies on the individual's record, then re-inset the individual to the household.  This has worked but I'm hoping other Tess users have an easier way.

Any suggestions?

Thanks all

  • A quick solution is to go into the original order where the money was initially put On Acct and issue a gift certificate for that amount. In a new order, use that gift certificate and put it into On Acct under the household for future use, or just use the gift certificate for your transaction. After that, you’ll have to figure out if you want to make changes to your practices.

Currently, this is what I have been doing. So far, it’s been few and far in between so handling it on a case by case basis is working for us.
