NScan Special Access Areas

I'm hoping that those of you using NScan to scan tickets into special access areas might be able to help me out. I'm  trying to set up a special access area that would allow entry to anyone with a ticket to that day's performance so that we might be able to get a number of how people took advantage of the area. I have added the access area to the scanner profile and in the LTR_NSCAN_ACCESSS_AREAS table I have created the access area, its description and added the perf no. for that performance. It seems as though that regardless of what criteria I put in this table it denies entry to every ticket that is scanned even though it meets the criteria that in the system table. Is there a step that I am missing somewhere? Any insight I can gain into this would be very helpful.

Thank you.

  • When you added the access area to the profile, did you add the access area name or the ID from the table? It should be the access area name (the short name, not the description), not the ID number.

Also, just to check – did you restart the N-Scan application on the scanner after adding the access area to the profile?
