We want to implement Surprise and Delight. As a test, I setup a test list for monitoring attendance of three individuals at a performance today. I created a list of the three constituents and promoted the list. I then added the Monitor List attribute to the constituent record of the staff person that wants to be alerted when the three parties on the test list have their tickets scanned, I selected the list name as the value in the monitor list attribute. I then also added the NScan email attribute to the staff person to be alerted and entered their email address as the value. I added a second NScan email attribute and used the staff person's cell phone as the value.
Prior to the version 11 Tess upgrade, we had used the monitor individual feature only a few times, but it did work to send emails and texts to staff. Our NScan installer configured the system for us.
In doing the version 11 upgrade, I had to build a new server (our installer had the NSCan Email application running on the Seat Report server), and I was advised by Tess Help that all that should be needed was to copy the original NScan email folder I found on the old server to the new server. All of the settings (server name, account name, smtp name) remained the same on the new setup so I did not change any of the NScan email application settings. The NScan Email application launches and appears to be "scanning" for events.
But since the test list alerts did not work, I wonder if perhaps there is more that needs to be done. Perhaps something needs to be "installed" on the server, rather than just copying the old folder?
