Fixing an incorrect price map after sales have started

We have a situation here where we associated an incorrect price map to a price type of a show that has gone on sale. I have ended the date on the wrong price map and have the new correct price map associated with the price type so that all future sales are correct.

How do I fix the sales that happened with the incorrect price map?

  • When this has happened to us we returned the original seats (or if tickets hadn't been printed yet we'd just delete the lineitem) and created a new order and essentially redid it, with the earliest possible order date that would use the correct pmap.  The one caveat is if you're using access control and the patrons already have the tickets, you'd be invalidating the tickets, and depending on how many orders went through before the error was caught, then this might be a really unpleasant way to resolve it.
