I'm having great trouble getting this to do what I need it to, can someone advise what I might be missing?
We are still in testing for some VIP flex packages. We have a MOS set up and attached to the price type. An offer, with a source code is restricting this to 2 tickets. This works when the source code is entered but if it isn't entered then I'm still able to purchase more than 2. Of course, we only want these available with the source code and not without it. The MOS is only set up for the packages and not for the single performances.
Am I missing something?

Do you have more than one price type built for the offer? One associated to the offer/source and one stand alone like a regular price type?

I take it you are not closing the order and starting over again when trying to book without the source, that is, clearing the source in the same order, loading a new package line-item. If so, it looks like it is a loop-hole in the application, at least that's what happened when I tried it.

I'd tried both, Kevin. Also tried re-logging in to refresh it all and can still buy more than 2.
Hmm, the most obvious checkpoint is the Start and End Dates are valid in the Offer window. If the offer has an End Date earlier than today, the price type will *definitely* appear without a source.
The price type should appear in italics with the ticket Limit only after you have entered the source date in the order.
Other check points are valid dates for your campaign, appeal and source.
Hope that's the fix!
I agree with Kevin - this typically occurs when your Offer and Price type Start & End Dates don't match. If those suggestions don't work let us know.

No luck sadly, I've gone through and checked all dates.
To give more information:
I've got my campaign set up valid from 1/10/2013 - 1/10/2014My appeal and source have the same start and end dates.
My package has only one MOS. The same start and end dates again and one price type. The offer is set up linking to the one price type, appeal and source with the same start and end dates and a limit of 2.
So it still works fine when you enter the source code first but I don't see any Italics on the price type. Really confused now as to why I can still purchase more than 2 without entering a source.
Ah! I think then Harpreet has a point because if you only have one price type there and it is an offer, what else is there to book? There has to be another price type to select from.
Try adding the price type to a MOS which maintains other package price types, make sure the Default Ind is NOT checked in TX_MOS_PRICETYPE
Attached is an example of how it should look.
I’m assuming this is not web related just sold over phones or in person. Here’s what I do when I have an offer or a price type that only appears when you enter the source.
1) Create the Campaign à Appeal
2) Create the Price Maps in Facility Manager
3) Go to System Tables and add:
a. TR_PRICE_TYPE
b. TX_MOS_PRICETYPE
c. TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO (if the offer is not available for web, just add the MOS its valid for)
4) Update Season Manager à Season Maintenance with the price type and Offer.
5) Tessitura Security
I don't have any problems with the price appearing without the source when I follow these steps, unless, my dates don't match. In your case they do.
Other than this, I unfortunately don't know what else to suggest. My last thought would be is that if this VIP Package is built like a subscription, have the price type and MOS been added under Ticketing Setup à Packages?
