I have received a request from our Development department for a way to track donor usage by scanning a membership card. The idea is that when a purchase is made at our store (running Microsoft Retail Management) or when a donor appears in our VIP lounge, their card would be scanned to track how they are using their benefits. Donors can use the VIP lounge anytime that they want so it is not possible to set it up as performance in Tessitura. We want them to be able to use their member card without having to issue tickets for the lounge. Is anyone doing anything like this? I would love to hear from you.

Hi Lou,
For your lounge, if you are using N-Scan, special access areas might work for you. They do not require creating a performance. You can set it up so that a ticket to any performance can be used, and then other data on their constituent record, like a constituency, can be checked to validate entry into the lounge and then record the attendance.
