RE: Tessitura not recognizing printer. [Scanned]

Are you using terminal services, ramp or direct to access tessitura?

If you dont know,  right click tessitura icon and choose properties. What does it say in target?

I closed Tessitura before I installed the printer multiple times. I have tried it as a local and a network printer, both of which work in every other program I use (IE: Excel, Word, etc.). Yes I do see the printer in Devices and Printers (Windows 7) and it is online. This is currently the only computer with this problem and no one is sure how to fix it. I have tried restarting my computer multiple times and still nothing.

I was told that I need to restart the computer several times until Tessitura "discovers" the problem but I have restarted approx. 6 times and still nothing.

As Wayne briefly mentioned, if you installed the printer while Tessitura was open, you need to close and re-open the application.

If that doesn't work, a few questions for you...   

Is this a local or network printer.  What is the make and model of this printer.  There might be someone in the community who has that printer installed and running Tessitura.

Do you see the printer object in the Printers and Faxes window(Windows XP) or Devices and Printers (Windows 7)? Can you print from this printer outside of Tessitura?

Is the status of the printer set to "offline"?

If this is a network printer can you check to see if there is anyone else who is having the same problem?

 

I think this is a good start, to understanding what the circumstance is.
